The bristle-nose pleco is a fish native to the tributaries of the Amazon basin and the rest of South America. It has feathers or whiskers located near the mouth. Females and males have different whiskers. Males have more considerable whiskers, and females have smaller ones. Meanwhile, the bristle-nose pleco fish does not like excessive nitrate levels.
